Rapid Iteration is the Real Challenge

Innovation is evolving but the new horizon might not be where you think it is. Every Big Co. wants to act like a Small Co.
Innovation is evolving but the new horizon might not be where you think it is. Every Big Co. wants to act like a Small Co. But most are well on their way to successfully defining product and positioning - even delivering rapid proof of concept like a small co.

The Edge of Innovation

The bleeding edge of innovation now is delivering innovation to market as envisioned. Super-efficient legacy supply chains and processing capabilities are the unbreakable conventions now. Big Co. marketers back me up – how many ideas have gotten amazing consumer feedback only to hit a wall when you try to get the product produced as designed. New ingredients, new processes, new packaging, shorter shelf life… all are challenges that derail innovations consumers really want.

Spark advocates going past proof of concept - yes we love, use and offer all the new tools from overnight idea vetting to social media connected storefronts for proof of concept. But to succeed in market we believe a brand should also 1) fully articulate “what must be true about the tangible product to deliver what is motivating the consumer.”  and 2) ideating with functional experts to discover ways to actually deliver those things within legacy environments   We believe in this so strongly we've built an expert team to help our clients do it.
